The Church of St. Francis Xavier (Manhattan) was renovated and rededicated on Saturday, June 19, 2010. Archbishop Timothy Dolan presided, with Archbishop Emeritus Cardinal Edward Egan and Jesuit Provincial Rev. David Ciancimino also in attendance.
Archbishop Dolan's reaction to an announcement and applause for the LGBT community has drawn criticism.
